Three faithful men of God,
Stood before the heathen king,
And said that worship to his idol
They would never bring.
They would not bow their knee
To the image made of gold.
The king screamed "throw them in the fire!"
But still these men were bold...........they confidently told the king....
Our God is able to deliver us
From the power of your hand.
And we will bow to him alone,
And obey only His command.

The king yelled "make it hot!"
Our God is able to deliver us,
But if He choose not,
Still we shall not bow, still we shall not bow,
No, even if He chooses not,
We'll serve Him anyhow.
The king said "bind these men,
And hotter make the fire.
now throw them in and we shall see
If this God of theirs is higher."
The king rose to his feet,
said "open up the door".
We cast three men into the fire,
They live, and there are four........they came out of the fire singing
Our God was able to deliver us
From the power of your hand.
And we will bow to Him alone,
And obey only His command.
Our God was able to deliver us,
From your hottest fire,
Our God was able to deliver us,
salvation was His desire,
So to Him we bow, So to Him we pray,
our salvation was His plan,
And we will serve Him every day.
At times we face the fire,
That round us tends to burn,
But we'll not be consumed by it,
If to the Lord we turn.
He is still the fourth man
When old Satan fans the fire,
And His hand is still extended,
And He will lift us higher........And like those men of old we can sing....

our God is able to deliver us,
But if He choose not,

Times are changing rapidly. Boldness is something we probably should start praying for now. Talking about Jesus in the past might have got you labeled weird. Talking about Jesus now, might get you labled "intolerant" or a "hater" or worse. We are facing times that we need to be prepared for. We need to prepare with much prayer. I pray for myself, and all of my Christian brothers and sisters that we will be given a supernatural boldness to speak the truth of the gospel. I pray that the boldness will increase as the days become more difficult. God Bless.

Beautiful poetry, Barbi..... We have had it so easy here in a country founded for religious freedom - and have no concept of real persecution. We need to focus on the possibility that we might face hard decisions and need such boldness. Thanks!
